I grew up moving every few years. This conversation reminds me of the joke where the guy asks the old-timer what kind of folks live in the town up ahead. Old-timer asks him what kind of folks lived in the last town - same kind just ahead. The point being that your experiences completely influence your perception. <BR> <BR>Personally my favorite vacation spot is as far north on the Outer Banks as possible. My butt is parked by the pool or on the beach. Any sightseeing might be done on the way to or from vacation.

ok, here's my 2-cents: <BR> <BR>Favorite (In no particular order): <BR> <BR>New York (I live there and it has everything you can ask for!) <BR>Boston (Have lived there, love the old world charm) <BR>Hyannisport (Where I got engaged, so for memories sake) <BR>Washington DC <BR> <BR>Least: <BR> <BR>New York (I know it's in my favorites but sometimes it is my least favorite place to be on those bad days) <BR>Detroit (No comment) <BR>Newark, NJ (too New Yorkish without the charm, but has plenty of bad attitude) <BR>Atlantic City (nothing to do but gamble and hello- I'd rather spend my money on something worthwhile :)

Favorites in no order:<BR> Dallas--I live here & the people are great, lots of cultural activities, volunteerism, convenient airport to get places, sports, no state income tax<BR> Washington, D.C.--how can anyone go to D.C. and not be proud and excited about the U.S. <BR> San Antonio--great city to visit<BR> San Francisco--beautiful, multi-cultural<BR><BR>Don't have a dislike list because each city is unique and it is up to me to find the good.

1. Burlington, Vermont -- small city with the magical appeal of a large one. Great shops, restaurants and views of the Adirondacks. Minutes away from Stowe and Sugarbush! A great college town, too!<BR><BR>2. Orlando - so much fun for all. We love Disney because it is fun for every age.<BR><BR>3. Washington, DC because of the great museums and the wonderful walking.<BR><BR>4. San Francisco, need I say more?
