Deals- Low or no admission to most DC sites and NYC Muesums (some are donation only). Watching a live taping of a TV show (just got back from Millionaire taping today). Free entertainment.

Ask, Ask, Ask. Airlines, hotels, resorts, restaurants can give deals just for the asking - but you must ask. I've received Companion fares on Delta (to Bozeman, MT) just because I asked. I've had rooms upgraded, basic room charges reduced, free airline vouchers and price fix meas - but I had to ask. Most of the time I ask-not complain. However, it is sometimes the option of the service person to give 'deals' to close a positive customer experience.

The business I am in trains the sales people not to offer the best price/deal/rate, but to match or better if, and only if, the customer requests it. [Home Depot will match a lower price, but won't do it on their own, for example]
