Election Day

I'm curious, everyone. Where are you voting today, and how is the weather there? I'm voting in Baltimore, Maryland, and the weather is beautiful - - - currently about 65 degrees and sunny. Voter turnout is said to be fairly heavy. By the way, in a heavily democratic state, I'm casting my vote for Bush.

Cindy Nov 7th, 2000 10:31 AM

Rudy, I just cancelled you out, dude. :)

Vote, everyone!

Karl Nov 7th, 2000 10:34 AM

Voting from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Just put Gore up by a 2 to 1 score

ilisa Nov 7th, 2000 10:38 AM

Voting from Germantown, MD for the next president of the United States, Al Gore.

AC Nov 7th, 2000 10:50 AM

Hey All:
NYC sunny & 50's. Haven't gotten to the polls yet. Heading out around 5PM
Al Gore will be getting my vote!

The Real Noach Nov 7th, 2000 11:14 AM

I'm not allowed to vote because of some of my priors, but I'd vote for the next president of the United States, Libertarian Harry Browne

Pragmatic Guy Nov 7th, 2000 11:18 AM

Interesting that so many of you are voting for Mr. Gore when he clearly considers you to be the enemy. All of you disgustingly successful people that dare to travel to Europe when there is so much inequity in the world.

Also, Cindy did not cancel out Rudy's vote because they are from different states. Typical uninformed liberal.

Pragmatic Guy Again Nov 7th, 2000 11:21 AM

Sorry- meant to say that Cindy and Rudy are presumably from different states.

Ifyaaintrich Nov 7th, 2000 11:25 AM

Another vote for Gore! Don't want to lose all my 401k money when Bush trashes the economy just like dear old dad. And dad was sober when he did it too.

booming Nov 7th, 2000 11:30 AM

Well I voted to restore the throne to its rightful heir.....Dubya.

NOT!! Go Gore!

Jimmy Nov 7th, 2000 11:42 AM

STOP!!! I come here to get AWAY from politics.

Lila Nov 7th, 2000 11:51 AM

Casting my vote for Gore in Chicago. (The weather report said a chance for rain.) I'm hoping all of you in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Michigan get out the vote for Gore. He'll need the support in your states especially...
But which ever party you support, I hope you get out there and vote. Ladies especially, think of all the women who dedicated their lives just so you would have the right to vote. Go and make your voice heard!

Donna Nov 7th, 2000 11:56 AM

I'm from Houston, and I cast my vote for Al Gore and Joe Lieberman.

Bill Nov 7th, 2000 12:16 PM

I voted to restore the dignity and honor to the White House, and to stop the snowballing of moral decay in our nation....I voted for George W.

g_gordon_liddy Nov 7th, 2000 12:23 PM

Thank you, Bill, for looking out for us.

Leone Nov 7th, 2000 12:27 PM

Well, my heart cries Al, but my head says W. In Va., the weather was cool and sunny today, and the voters turned out early. So, tonight's the night, and it may be interesting. Bill becomes a lame duck tomorrow, after 8 years. And perhaps Hillary will be the one in NY. Bill hopes to be by her side when she declares victory tonight at her campaign headquarters. Al's on the family farm, after a period of years away in DC, and W. is in the mansion in Austin, after fixing Laura coffee this morning, and reassuring mom and dad, whom he described as nervous. No word from the girls or Als' kids either. So, life goes on, and lets see how the race comes out. Have an interesting evening, and lets keep our fingers crossed for the right outcome. Ciao from our nation's capital. Leone

John Nov 7th, 2000 12:33 PM

In Louisiana, one for Al & Joe!

Barbara Nov 7th, 2000 12:37 PM

Unbelievable that so many people are voting for Gore. I am just glad that this is not a true representation of what all of America will be doing today! I am in Houston and it is gorgeous out!

Stan Nov 7th, 2000 12:41 PM

Barbara, why is it "unbelievable" that 10 or 12 people have said they will vote for Gore? He, like Bush, will get 40,000,000+ votes! Grow up, woman!

I happened to choose Gore after a lot of research and soul-searching and I respect those of you who chose Bush, Nader, et al. (OK, I have a problem with Buchanan but that's my personal issue!) The whole point is to VOTE! I really do hate those whiney folks who complain but don't exercise their rights. If Dubya is entrusted with the presidency, then so be it. The people will have spoken.

(Remember that even in "landslide" elections of past (Reagan '84 for example), the loser got tens of millions of votes. As long as we have two dominant parties, that will be the case.)

Donna Nov 7th, 2000 01:13 PM

Leone, you mean the LEFT outcome, don't you? :)
