I always post reviews on TripAdvisor. Their reviews have alwyas been extremely helpful to me. I have found the reviews to be very reliable and feel that I am helping out another traveler when I post my review. Even if there are other reviews, you might give an extra comment about something that might be important in helping someone's decision. I recently got an email from them asking for photos to accompany one of my postings. I sent them and it should be interesting to see the new reviews once they start adding the photos.

Only done it once. Because it's a hotel with no previous reviews. [Actually 3 months on, mine is still the only one there.]

I love tripadvisor and have never gone wrong with a hotel after reading the site's reviews. I think I've posted 3-4 hotel reviews on Tripadvisor--we just stayed at Denver's Brown Palace this weekend so need to post my impressions there and on Fodors.

In some towns/cities tripadvisor.com is accurate...in others, it's totally wrong. Key West is a good example of a town in which it's wrong.
