Middletown, De is nice. Wilmington is pricey in the nice areas such as Greenville. Hagley museum is nice. I grew up in Dover and hate it there. Sussex county is called slower lower Delaware but that is because the pace is slower and the people friendlier. I was always freaked out by all the chicken trucks but Milton/Lewes does not have those. Three of my aunts lived in Rehoboth. Only one is left but she loves it there.

I always take guests to Old New Castle. It has more historic homes than Williamsburg, VA, cobblestone streets and along the water.
