Crime and punishment Museum,? for teens?
Is this museum worth the price. also Duck tours vs paddle boats which better for teen age boys?
|
We had a question about this museum about a month ago, and nobody had even heard of it. So naturally, the very next week I was in DC and saw an ad for it on top of a taxi. The impression I got from he web site is that it's narrow and sensational, and frankly there are so many other wonderful places in DC, I wouldn't spend the time or money on it.

With teenage boys....I'd go to the Spy Museum. Mine loved it.

I've gone to the museum; it's the same company, I believe, as the highly regarded Spy Museum, and they are very close to each other. I liked it.
It is, of course, more expensive than most attactions in DC (since most are free). I think maybe $15 or so? Maybe $20? I would think that the Spy/C&P museums would be better than the Ducks tour for teenagers. Much better. (Though I can only compare to the Philly Ducks tour, which involved getting free neon quackers with which we were to squack). You know, the kind of thing that would make teenagers die from embarrassment. |
Thanks it's gandma's treat so I think we'll do spy and ducks

I'm not sure the Ducks tour is going to be all that attractive to teenage boys. It's pretty corney, and not in a good way.
What do they like to do? |
Yesterday's Washington Post had an article (geared toward kids) about the Crime and Punishment Museum. Perhaps this will help you decide if it's something your kids would like.
