Fargo has buffalo this year. Actually bison. Appropriate since they roamed in this area before we shot most all of them. As always local artists decorate them. Mine would have had real bullet holes in it and wrapped with barbed wire anchored to the ground. Maybe a Native American sitting next to it asking for money. An artistic statement about how the west was really "won".

Omigod jorr, now you've done it!
|
Omigod kvick, I hope I woke up some people about the history of the winning of the west. It was not a pretty picture. General Sherman was hired to exterminate Native Americans who got in the way of the Transcontinental Railroad. He exterminated men, women and children, plus killing Native American's prime source of survival, The Bison. Omigod, a fiberglass buffalo and a real Native American (not the wooden tourist shop type) to shead some light? Omigod, come to the midwest and learn about the true history of the westward expansion and the destruction of Native Americans.

Bennie: you too!
Prof. Lemelman was fulll of trivia...and other things. |
Not Lemelmann but the other little weasel with the bowtie. Its been so long that I've wiped his name from my memory. No surprise that I don't practice wills and estates.

Jorr, I thought you'd start a flood of opinion and invective with your 2:12 post, but it's been about 24 hours, and nothing.
I guess nobody cares about art as a statement any more. |
Or we all agreed.
