Too late for Don probably. I visit Columbus frequently as I'm from there (in fact, I am an OSU alum) and still have relatives there, but I moved away long ago as it didn't offer me much. I would choose Cincinnati as a more interesting place to visit. I would never recommend Columbus as a special vacation destination spot, and I do sort of agree with the above post that it's an ok place to live, but not for a vacation. It really depends what you want and expect from a vacation. If you just want a different place for a few days, I guess it will do. I'm curious why is Easton mentioned as some big deal by COlumbus promoters? That indicates the problem as it's just a shopping mall, that's all. I don't like the whole football yahoo orientation of the place, I disliked that a lot as a student at OSU, although I did like OSU in general and thought I received a good education. Cincinnati is known for its chili, but I wouldn't take the time getting off the interstate myself after that long a trip.
