Classy strippers?

Okay, this is a tough one to try and make sound good.. what I'd like to do is surprise my husband with a fun evening, and go to a topless show, or even nude. What advice as to location? I know Fodor's has them all listed in the book, but I like real people recommendations. We'd take a limo, maybe a party bus if they don't seem too bad. We are in our early 40's btw. Thanks.

Ah, forgot to mention I was referring to Vegas. No more wine before posting, lol.

TConrad Jul 17th, 2003 04:13 PM

I dunno, this sounds kinda kinky to me!

mindanser Jul 17th, 2003 04:23 PM

Luv a kinky couple. Have fun!

LiveToTravel Jul 17th, 2003 05:26 PM

Are you talking about a strip club or a showgirls-type show? If the former I would recommend Club Paradise across from Hard Rock. If the latter, I would say change your mind, head to Club Paradise across from Hard Rock.

Have fun!

In the general instance, I'm not sure that there is an answer to you question as I don't know that classy can ever be used to modify the word stripper.

That said, Cirque du Soleil is opening a new Adults only show called Zumanity. It opens August 14th. Don't know which shows are sold out. Depending on where you stay and how important you are to your casino, your concierge may be able to help with tickets.

Noooooooo, kinky would be if she wanted to take the stripper home with them for a threesome...LOL

You sound like a fun wife, I know he'll enjoy the night out (and the night after!)

If your looking for "Playboy" quality strippers you can't beat The Palomino Club..

Sapphires behind the Stardust. supposed to be the largest and best strip club in the world. check out vegasstripsearch.com.

La Femme at the MGM is an classy show with nude (with stickers in a certain place) dancers. My husband and I went in the spring and thought is was very well done. Highly recommend it.

Thanks for the tips. I find it amusing that some unenlightened types are quick to judge others who are looking for some harmless fun..we don't relish the standard Vegas shows where you get the assigned seats, and sit next to sweating couples who have gorged on one too many buffets that their supportive undergarments can't help. Life is short, enjoy! Btw, this is a 20th ann. thing, and I want it to be part of the fun. Good limo experiences? Still undecided on this vs. a taxi. Thanks again.

Better yet, find a strip joint that has an amateur night. Then shock your husband for real and give amateur night a go. It might make for good fun.

JJason Jul 18th, 2003 04:50 AM

La Femme at MGM Grand is a classy burlesque show that you and your hubby can enjoy.

Lola Jul 18th, 2003 05:22 AM

I picture, sitting in rows of seats to which you are assigned, next to large sweaty people (predominantly male audiences attend strip shows) who have had their fair share of drinks and food (buffet or not).
While this might be your idea of fun, I really cannot believe it could be labeled classy.

Might as well take a taxi if it is just the two of you.

Showgirls of Magic at Hotel San Remo http://www.showgirlsofmagic.com/ Lots of fun and pretty girls in an intimate theater. Be there just a bit early and you should be able to sit very close.

The late show. The early show is covered.

Kinky is when you use a feather during sex...perverted is when you use the whole chicken.

"Classy" shouldn't be used anywhere in this post.

Surely you are going to be in the right town for this plan to work. If it was me I would seek out one of the casino hosts where you are staying and ask them. These folks know everything and are very customer service oriented. It won't matter if you are not a big player, I'll bet they will help.

Have fun!

I can only think of two kinds of strip shows in vegas (not that I'm all that knowledgeable).

There's the theater kind: La Femme, Zumanity, about half of the strip casinos offer something in this vein.

There's the strip club kind, little tables, small stage, lap dances, etc.

It sounds like you're looking for the latter type. There are SO many strip clubs in Vegas that I really don't think you can go wrong as long as you pick a big one. Personally, I'd ask a cabbie at some point when your husband isn't around.

Local morning show here in Detroit (drew and mike) just talked about this very topic last week. It's becoming very popular (among open-minded, liberal couples) to go to strip/burlesque clubs as a couple for an evening. They asked their audience where the best place to do this is and the overwhelming response was Sapphire in Vegas. So, I haven't been there, and am not sure if I'm THAT open-minded or liberal, but I guess it's the best.

Olympic Gardens, on the north side of the city, might be a good bet. There were alot of female patrons there also but I think it might be partially due to a male dancer section also. Didn't see it so can't confirm. I did see a few celebrities hanging out and leaving with some very HOT chicks though.

The Palomino is the only all-nude that serves drinks and if I remember correctly, it's very lounge oriented. Go upstairs.

Lola is right though, "classy" is a stretch. I think a show like "La Femme" fits the label better.
