Yes, yes. It's definitely worth the money (and I don't have a lot of it.) I've seen both, the "o" show, and Mystere, and I would recomment the "O" show if you can get tickets.

"O" is out of this world! The best show that I ever seen.

I too have seen Mystere twice and O once and agree with previous posts. You won't go wrong with either or both. If you must choose only one, I would suggest going to the performance that fits your schedule best and that has the best seating available. The first time we saw Mystere was at the 10:30 pm peformance. Since we were still on EST we were exhausted and weren't able to give the show the attention it requires and deserves. We sat in the 3rd row, center, at O; if I go again I would prefer to sit in the 15th or so row. The closer rows allow an intimate view of the performers, but I found it hard to take in the whole stage from the 3rd row. Throughout Mystere the performers are often above or throughout the audience, so I found "mid-audience" to be best.

The Cirque Du Soleil is playing in Melbourne Australia at the moment and I am going to see "Alegria" Has this shown in the States and if so how does it compare to "Mystere"?

to the top

There is no contest. O or eau, which means water in French is like a Felini movie. You will be transfixed by the sights, skills and imagination of the producers and performers. The costumes, makeup and original music are something I've never seen anywhere. <BR>We saw Mystere. It paled by comparison. <BR>Best and most unique show ever!

You must see "MYSTERE"! What a show! I was amazed. It was like one of the 7 wonders of the world....I have not seen "O" but will when I go back to Vegas. I think it is a must to see "Mystere" first to fully appreciate, "O" or so I have heard. You don't even think of the money you spent on the show when you leave....you are lost in the feeling of the wonderful performances! Enjoy!

OI have seen "O" twice, and would spend the money to see it again. It's an amazing show, with awesome music, and a truly enjoyable experience that you won't soon forget!

How much (ball park) do these shows cost? <BR> <BR>I have this awesome responsibility of taking my (foreign, but cosmopolitan) parents-in-law (both in their 70s), my wife and my 9-year-old son to Vegas in mid June. [My wife and I have been to Vegas once before we had a child.] <BR> <BR>I am leaning toward 'Mystere' at the Treasure Island. Would it not be risky to to not make advance reservations? <BR> <BR>Regards.

"O" sells out EVERY show well in advance, and Mystere sells out every show, but allows a little more procrastination. <BR>"O" is now up to $110 I believe. <BR>

carol May 27th, 2001 05:37 PM

Made reservations for Mystere exactly 3 months in advance and still couldn't get the seats I wanted. Still got good seats though. I didn't want to take the chance....Tickets were $88 inclu tax. CAN'T WAIT! <BR>

We have tickets in June to see Mystere for the 2nd time in 7 mos. Without a doubt the best show of its type, the one to see in Vegas and well worth the money. If you are planning to see it, order your tickets as far in advance as possible, for the best seat selection. Avoid the side sections and the upper rows. Enjoy.

Alegre is essentially the same show as Mystere; it is their road troupe. It must have been in Australia for over two years now, as I saw its last show in Canada (Ottawa), just before it left for down under.<BR><BR>We saw O in April and had loge seats which are excellent as you can look down on the stage. Those objects moving around are actually being pushed by SCUBA divers in black suits.

I saw Allegre in Australia and have seen Mystere at TI.<BR>While the theme is the same, I thought Allegre was worth about $20 (my tix were free), while I think Mystere is worth every bit of the ~$90 price.<BR>And "O" is indeed worth the new price over $100.

I've seen both in Vegas. O once and mystere 3 times. When Mystere was the only show it was the best show in town, but O is even better. The water makes it unique and well worth the extra ticket price. the catch is getting tickets...O is much harder. If there is only one or two of you, standing in line as a standy often works. No discount though, and you may be separated from your partner.
