wsoxrebel - could you be a southsider? You are absolutely right I was watching quite a bit of WGN! I loved the "this is a station identification" moment even with them having the name of the station in the top right hand corner of the screen at all times - branding gone mad!
Thanks dweebe for your feedback - my view is people take up a lot of their precious time on this board providing such good information that it's nice to reciprocate and let others know how things went |
I blame WGN for creating a nation of Cub fans.

Just giving the people what they want, Vittrad! :)
Londonengland, when you were wandering the Magnificient Mile, did you happen to stop off at the Tribune Building and watch the live radio broadcast there? |
WHOA! Hardly. I was alive went that deal went down. It was all about money and association, and not what "the people" wanted at all.
32 games won by May 25, 2005. You better be nice if you want to get play off tickets to Chicago baseball this year, exiled princess. But you are always nice. And FYI any Chicago tourists. You can still get upper deck in the lowest rows that are very good viewing, for as little as $7 on Monday and Tuesday nights which are not holidays. And even with a car, our park is $5 less to park, has hot and cold running water in abundance, terrific bathrooms with no lines EVER (that's how many women's stalls there are) and great food. Great deal if you are coming on the red line. And also a decent ticket in the park on other levels can be obtained on the day of the game about 90% of the time. No scalpers necessary and decent pricing on those as well. "Fundamentals" has opened beyond the left field wall area. Your child can do manuevers with trainers during the game and you can watch both activities at the same time in an unbelieveable "parent/guardian" spot. The sessions are for 45 minutes and run by reservation all day of the game day and during the game. |
Yes exiledprincess I did watch the live broadcasts at the Tribune building - thought it was a great idea - the Tribune shop there was good too. Plus you reminded me to mention just how beautiful that area is with the Wrigley Building next door (or should that be buildings as there are two separate buildings comprising it)

That's U.S. Cellular field.
And save a few bucks for the muscians upon exiting. Now that the crowd is over 30,000 level and we are using all the parking lots- they are everywhere. They are getting more eclectic with the tunes also. The garbage can man has upgraded to a real drum. |
