Chicago Garden Show

Can someone tell me when the Chicago Garden Show at Navy Pier is, and the cost. If some in your party want to go downtown, is there a way without taking a cab? Thank you in advance. Jan

"If someone in my party wanted to go downtown, is there a way without taking a cab?"

According to the website, there will be free trolley service to Millennium Park Garage. This is on the east side of downtown, walking distance from the stores and theatres in the Loop.

If the people who want to go downtown are walkers, it's not a bad walk to Michigan Ave. from Navy Pier unless the weather is bad. And according to the Navy Pier web site:

You can catch a free trolley from Navy Pier to along Grand and Illinois. You can see a map of stops here:

Check the city of Chicago's web site. I don't believe the free trolley will run again until summer. However, the #29 State Street bus will take you into the loop. The #66 will take you to Water Tower Place. Check

The free trolley is not the usual summer one, but a special Navy Pier to Millennium (Grant) Park shuttle for overflow parking.
