I'm curious why isn't Sticky Fingers real bbq? Is it because the restaurant is clean?
|
See what kind of rate you can find at Lodge Alley Inn. We have stayed there a few times.
|
Palmetto, it is stuff with BBQ sauce on it not real Carolina BBQ.
Deb, go back and find my 2005 trip report on Charleston or I'll see if I can find it. I covered a lot of the hotels. Absolutely go with the Indigo Inn. The price is fantastic as is the location. Also check the Andrew Pinckney Inn. They have free breakfast with a great rooftop outdoor dining room and the location is fantastic right behind the II. Husk, FIG, McCreadys, Hanks, High Cotton, Snob, should all be on your list. For brunch, and not dinner, ever, Poogans Porch and Jestines. When are you going? |

Didn't mean to start something - I didn't say it was or wasn't real BBQ - just said if you need a fix.... :)
Personally I usually get chicken fingers and fries at SF and the brisket at J&N - neither of which I count as BBQ If I need a pizza fix I go to Mellow Mushroom on King...(or bread and cheese, if you don't want to call MM real pizza) |
Ok, Indigo Inn or Andrew Pinckey Inn? API is now less than Indigo Inn.
|
They are so right next to each other, and they are both real Charleston. Pick the one that's cheaper.

Thanks Sue!
