We did postpone our trip at this time, we were leaving our 4 kids behind the 2 youngest at sleepaway camp. Our main concerns were the potential for delays on our return, as we did not leave too much room for error. We were due home the 21st pm and kids home from camp on the 22. I don't think it is irrational to put our pleasures on hold temporarily,for the consideration of the family. Had we not been traveling this weekend and had not felt the time restaint to make a decision, we might have decide otherwise. Instead we have decided to travel to the Adirondack area for some relaxation. Italy will be there for a future date, and peace of mind is priceless.
