This is the first I have heard of the $249 elite stay certificates. I also was not aware the Hyatt offered free breakfast if you stay 6 nights. My question is I have already made reservations for the hyatt for 6 nights in April. I have already paid through a travel agent. Is there away I can still use these certificates? Also how can I get the free breakfast, any suggestions?

The free breakfast buffet is really a great savings. It's called Sunshine on Sale, when you book for six nights using the code on the Hyatt web site. Call your travel agent and ask if they did that, or look on your documents to see if it says SOS package.

Along these lines, does anyone know if you get the Hyatt gold passport points when staying with a certificate stay? I would think yes, but you never know!Also can you back a regular stay onto a certificate stay?It would be great to get the 3 day weekend at 249 and then do the sunshine on sale deal for a total of 9 nights,plus get points on top of the whole stay.I am going to call Hyatt but am asking here just in case anyone has had experience with this-thanks in advance.

sure you can combine stays, but you won't get Gold Passport points for the certificate part of your stay

Through our travel agent, with 2004 pricing we paid approx $345 per night for our room (including taxes, but not including the $15 per day fee). Not sure if these prices are still available (probably not) but our travel agent was Anne Rose at www.celebrate-travel.com. Just thought I would chime in -- I think rates have since gone up though. I think your best best is that Elite certificate deal. Good luck!!
