The BEST place in Vegas for ice-cream and shakes is Luv-it's frozen custard. It has been here for years and years, many people visit from out of town, the taxi drivers will receommend it (if they know what they are talking about). My DH and I just went to the Wynn this last weekend to finally check it out, this guy tells us to get an ice cream there he says "it is the best"...well it was good, but does not compare to Luv-its!!!! Luv-it's is only a walk up window, it is near the Stratosphere, just east of LV Blvd on Oakey (behind the AM/PM. The custard is hand made fresh every day, his sundaes are to die for. I highly recommend the Banana Fudge Krumble or the Banana Crunch...YUMMY!!!!!!!!! Anyway, if you ever come during the fall months when he has his pumpkin flavor...oh my heck...This place is a long way from our house, we live in Henderson, takes us about 20-25 minutes to get there and we do not mind the drive at all, well worth the gas to get some Luv-it's!!!!!!!!

Luv-it's is great but it's custard...not ice cream, and Danielle's Chocolate Shoppe out on Sahara makes good ice cream....but in general the west coast does not hold a candle to New England when it comes to ice cream. Prepare to be disappointed!

But, Luv-it's makes really great "milkshakes"..who cares if it is custard or ice-cream...even better if it's custard. Please don't prepare to be "disappointied" as the previous poster said, there are many places here to delight your palate!

I'm a milkshake addict myself, and custard shakes don't hold a candle to real ice cream milkshakes! Not that they aren't good, but I too prefer to real thing.

And since I'm off to Vegas in three weeks for a conference, I'm also posting to bookmark this page for myself!
