I am by no means a breakfast person, but the Lemon Souffle Pancakes with Raspberry Sauce and Fresh Raspberries @ the Stanford Court Hotel is a "world class" start the day meal for two!
The Multicourse, price fixed dinner at Aqua with accompanying wines was amazing. Yank Sing for Dim Sum lunch. Figaro and Stella Pasticceri (414 and 446 Columbus) for great Canolis. Alcatraz is a bit depressing but well worth the visit. Sure, Muir Woods, the GG, the Presidio, Buena Vista for an "Irish" in the "Maritime Air/fog" Don't miss Beach Blanket Babylon, the longest running musical comedy "show" in the US - it's a real treat. For a W/E getaway, I really prefer San Diego. M |
Also...brunch at the Garden Court in Palace Hotel is spectacular, both food and setting!

Every time I go to SF I love to ride the ferry and sip a hot tea. If it is a little foggy and cold, then it is the perfect spot.
My H's favorite restaurant is Tdich's. It is a venerable old seafood place with white tablecloths and knowledgable waiters. Very classic. Postrio's is pretty good too, as I recall... |
Thanks everyone for the great insight. I will be heading to SF Sunday, June 30.
