Well I am back. This was a good thread. Everyone has their different opinions on what cities they like best. I just know that Washington D.C. is not the most genuine place I have been and it's time to move on.

Thanks

technically the mason dixon runs between MD/PA......however, mentally, the mason dixon line starts somewhere in south jersey..........the rebel flags down there will prove that point.

elle- when I say sucky I don't mean it literally, the eagles are actually pretty damn good. I don't remember any of those teams winning anything important in the last 15 years though. It is just difficult for a Northern NJ'er/NY'er to describe any of the philly teams any other way.

I had the glorious opportunity to see a lot of New England this summer while following my nephew's baseball team ( New England summer League). I was blown away by Keene (New Hampshire), Concord (Connecticut), Wells (Maine), Barnstable (Massachussetts). These are small towns with a lot of beauty and charm. Certainly underrated.

Arg! The NJ bashing makes me homesick! Jersey folks are extremely defensive of their home. Truth be told their are many, many places that are not nearly as quiant or cosmopolitian in thought...but, I I have always resented the higher than mighty snobbish New Jersey attitude that focuses on the so-called "wealth strip" of Chatham, Madison, etc... Good grief, that just sums up the materialistic mall rat attitude found in that state. I am so glad I finally moved away! PS-I live in a mujch more expensive neighborhood that the "wealth strip" today, too...and it is down to earth,
