Aloha fodorite food lovers! Fun thread, good to see it back at the top again.

I can't remember if we mentioned Ba-Le in Manoa for great Thai take-out (or eat in but be sure to BYOB). Not all Ba-Le's are made the same. At this kitchen, the chef really cooks! Great garlic shrimp, shrimp jungle prince, and deep fried snapper with ginger sauce. We also like their barbecue beef salad with lime and cucumber. It's all good....

don't forget Keo's while not cheap cheap still reasonable so far as Thai restaurants go

I just went to a place called Grumpy's that was outrageously cheap! The food wasn't outstanding/gourmet, but pretty darn good, especially for the price. It's located on 327 Keawe St., which is near CompUSA. They are also open for Sunday brunch now, just $4.95 for a buffet!!

http://starbulletin.com/2002/03/03/features/eater.html

Just got back from Oahu.

Our cheapest and one of our best meals was at Cha Cha Cha in Waikiki.

And the blade on their blender must be super sharp, because they had the best drinks there too.

What did you eat there, x and grumpy?
