Best Buffet in Vegas is????
 

Wanted to hear what you think is the best buffet in Vegas. I've heard that Bellagio has one of the best breakfast buffets and that the Rio has a pretty good buffet too but wanted some more ideas. I'd like to hear what your favorites foods are at these places as well. I'm kind of picky so knowing what dishes make them the best will help me a great deal. I'll be visiting in August with my family.

For breakfast, I like <b>The Buffet</b> at the Wynn the best.

(It's more like a brunch buffet, with food other than that traditionally associated with breakfast as well as all of your breakfast favorites.)

If you're picky, I suspect the buffets aren't going to be of value to you because they're expensive and eating the more exotic foods makes them worth their while. I like Bellagio for the beef wellington and smoked sturgeon and osso bucco. I thought Paris was good but I still favor Bellagio. Paris is more classic French (salmon/dill, vol au vent, duck a l'orange, etc). Bally's Sterling was arguably the best because of the bottomless champagne and oysters but at $75ish, you have to drink the champage and eat the more exotic dishes to make it worth it. The first time I ate at mandalay's I thought it was mediocre but the more recent time it was actually pretty good and might be more your pace, the fried chicken was excellent. The dishes there were more &quot;meat and potatoes&quot;...

The travel channel had a special on LV (when doesn't it?) and they were in the kitchen of the Bellagio. Wolfgang Puck was there and showed his creations. It seemed above average to me. I would like to try this one, and the one at the Paris. That is on my list. The one thing at the Bellagio was buffalo meat and some items I would not be so fond of it were me.

Myabe I ask what the price is on the weekday breakfast buffett at the Wynn? I know, if I have to ask, I probably can't afford it, LOL. :-)

I went to The Buffet at the Wynn last week for breakfast. I had comps, but I believe the non-comp price was $25.99 or $29.99.

I ate more than that in boiled shrimp alone. 'Tis an opportunity for gluttony, yes indeed.

No, no, the weekday breakfast at Wynn is only $15.95.

Are there medium priced buffets in Vegas, as in $15-$20 range for dinner? Or is that a thing of the past?? How about the downtown restaurants? I would think they would be cheaper than the strip.

There are many! But don’t look for any buffet in the down town area. There are very few.

Best bet for this price range, is just off the strip. Try the Orleans’, Southcoast, Palace Station, Palms, these all have dinner buffets for 20 bucks or less. But check the day; they will not hesitate to up the price on a weekend or during a large convention. The farther you go, the less it will cost, often matching the quality, but half the price (something to consider if you are paying for a large party).

The above mentioned buffets will get you the basic meat and ‘taters. They usually have the standard &quot;international&quot; food stations and you will find something to chow down on. Don’t expect Mr. Puck to come out and greet you! ;)

Palace Station's weekday breakfast buffet is $4.99 per person, and you really can't beat that! They have omlettes and eggs cooked to order, and just about everythign else imaginable.

Even though it's not like it used to be, there are still TONS of cheap buffets in Vegas. Now the quality of the food might be a different story though! Downtown has quite a few. One of the best ones is at the Main St. Station.

^As far as I know, that is the only buffet worth while in DT. Even then, I could only reccomend the brunch on weekends.

IMO, everything else DT isnt worth the trip over there... Have they improved over the last few years?

Golden Nugget has a very good buffet. I think weekday breakfast and lunch are still 8-9 ish...

FYI - I have a friend in town who wanted to go to the Rio. We had dinner at the Rio's buffet (the regular buffet, not the seafood buffet). It was $24.00 per person and the food sucked BIGTIME. It was a total rip off. I will never go there again.

Just went to the Wynn Buffet for the first time a couple weeks ago. We went for Saturday lunch, but it ended up being Brunch there for $24.95 w/o champagne. It was GREAT!! We also went to the Aladdin Buffet for dinner and I think Wynn was far better. Can't wait to get back for dinner!!

Generally I think buffets are not worth it for two reasons- 1) I'm not supposed to eat that much :-d and 2) hubby and I got HORRIBLY sick from food poisoning after eating at Excalibur's King Aurthur buffet (which my dad loves).

Having said that, dinner buffet at the Paris was Wonderful!

One of the things that confused me (easily confused I will admit) is that when deciding which buffet is best, the day of the week and the time of the day will make a difference. Especially when it comes to breakfast. We loved the Rio, but not atmosphere. We loved Paris for breakfast due to the atmosphere. In the Paris breakfast buffet, it was so intimate. We didn't plan it, but got there in time to pay for breakfast, but got lunch too for $12.99 during the week.
