Can't stand cats or dogs. How about those pet owners that are so into their pets they treat them like their kids or let them eat at the table or dress them up. Strange.

Notapetlover: You just answered your own question. Since you're not a pet lover, you'll never understand. Personnally, I'd take a barking dog over a screaming child anyday.

All these pet fanatics reminds me of something that happened on NYC subway years ago: On one day a maintenance worker was severely injured, homeless man was killed, and a dog was injured. Transit authority had 2 calls inquiring about injured worker, 0 calls about homeless person and over 500! (yes 500) calls inquiring about the dog. Sad, so sad when pets become more important in society than a human being. And if you don't believe its happening, you are blind. I can give you many more examples.

Owners of kids and dogs have no respect for others. Keep them home where they belong. A lot of the problem is that the owners do not want to be brother with caring for them, so they drag them along.

Agree with the inconsiderate dog owners, and kid handlers, but van we add cellphone users to this mix? I HATE<BR>to be anywhere and there is something so important you just have to call your friends and tell them! I am not interested in whatever you are telling them, but in the checkout line you cannot avoid it. However, people do not realize they do not know the people around them and gossip about others! A heart surgeon in our towen was forced out of practice because one of his patient's family members overhead his nurse telling someone how he was always liquored up when he operated! The other customer thanked the nurse and filed a complaint. The surgeon stated in the paper.."You should not worry about the patients I operated on drunk, but worry for the ones I operated on sober!"

I'd much rather a friend bring their dog to my house, or anywhere else, and leave their child home. I get sick of people ramming their children down my throat just as many others hate the same treatment from pet owners. I am polite, a person decides to bring their child over, never invited of course, I put my dogs away. I would love respect back like the parent actually ASKING if their child is welcome and giving me time to babyproof so I don't end up hating the parents whole visit. Not to relevent to the topic but I feel better :)
