Bandera, Texas lodging
Hi, Can anyone suggest a good place to stay one night in or very near Bandera?
Thanks |
Try this website, it's worth it for the picture!! http://www.banderacowboycapital.com/...cenic%20Drives
I understand there's not a whole lot out in Bandera, TX. (The cowboy capital of the world--whooo hoooo!! |
Don't you love those cute and cuddley armadillos!

Here's another website listing Bandera accommodations...
http://www.sanantonio.worldweb.com/Bandera/WheretoStay/ There's a great national park relatively close by, Lost Maples--for more information check out http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/lostmap/ Hope this helps! :-D |
I don't know how fancy of an accomodation you are looking for, but we enjoyed Twin Elm Ranch and it was very affordable.
They also have a website. |
Kerrville is just to the N and has several decent places and the Cowboy Art Gallery which is very interesting and unique. Rt 337 from Leakey to Medina is a great "driver's road".
Lost Maples is N of Vanderpool along the rt and worth a stop. M Actually, the area, along with Big Bend National Park and several W texas State parks, is among the most interesting in TX (OK, I know, everything is relative) |
