Hi, Can anyone suggest a good place to stay one night in or very near Bandera?

I don't know how fancy of an accomodation you are looking for, but we enjoyed Twin Elm Ranch and it was very affordable.

They also have a website.

Kerrville is just to the N and has several decent places and the Cowboy Art Gallery which is very interesting and unique. Rt 337 from Leakey to Medina is a great "driver's road".
Lost Maples is N of Vanderpool along the rt and worth a stop.

Actually, the area, along with Big Bend National Park and several W texas State parks, is among the most interesting in TX (OK, I know, everything is relative)
