Bally's Hotel Las Vegas
Has anyone stayed at Bally's lately? I'm wondering if the rooms are clean.
|
friends of friends just stayed and they asked for the renovated room and said it was fine..
With so many great deals right now, I would look to 5* resorts for around $100+ since summer is approaching quickly. What rate are they quoting you? I like to use expedia.com but they all are about the same. |
I was there April 6th. We booked online for 49.00 and clicked an upgrade to North Tower Deluxe for ten bucks more.
I am not too picky, I thought the room was a good value. The room was large and comfy with a desk area. I like the easy connection to the Paris. |
Thanks for the great suggestions!
|
We stayed there in December for $44 per night. The room was fine--large, clean, with a very nice bathroom.
|
ksucat, online on their website the price for a north tower room is $149/nt. I'm still shopping around but looking for something close to Bellagio as that's where my parents are staying.
|
I stayed there not too long ago. Yes, the rooms are clean. The north tower rooms are the nicer renovated rooms, and the south tower rooms are more dated and worn.
The hotel's a good value and good location. If you want to stay near the Bellagio in a lower priced hotel, I'd also look at Bill's and the Flamingo. |
$149 is crazy for Bally's..maybe a weekday at the Wynn for $149.
Is there a convention going on? Did you try expedia.com? $49-69 is about right for Bally's and that is a good deal for a big, clean room with a great casino. When are you going? |
Yeah, that does seem high for Bally's lately. When are you going, it is a big weekend or something, like a fight weekend?
|
Isn't Bally's the one without a pool? Although you can use the pool at The Flamingo or at Paris? Still, how awkward would that be?
|
Bally's has a great location, it is clean, and it has a pool: https://www.ballyslasvegas.com/casin...ol-detail.html

Bally's has a pool, and it's connected to Paris.
I think Bill's is the one without a pool, but allows you to use the one at the Flamingo next door (which is supposed to be a pretty good pool, although I've never been there). |
We're several couples looking for a place we can all enjoy and agree upon. I am making the reservations and trying to please everyone :)
Bally's is now on our short list with its location, along with Monte Carlo because of its pool area and lazy river, and The Platinum, since it's non smoking with windows that open and balcony. Does anyone know of other casinos or resorts on the strip that have opening windows, or balconies? Or any other nearby place with such? That could make a difference since it seems more important than pools. So in order of importance to friends are 1.open window/door/balcony, 2.location, 3.then pool area. Enjoy planning but this is becoming a chore, much more difficult than I expected! How to please everyone, HELP. |
I stayed at The Monte Carlo about 5 years ago.The "lazy" river was a river of humans, packed tight together.
|
I don't think any of the good hotels on the strip offer open windows or balconies for various reasons (safety, liability, noise, etc.). I think the IP might, but you wouldn't want to stay there. If having a balcony is more important than location, then look at off-strip properties.
|
I didn't think there were any windows that open or balconies for the liability issues and the prevelance of suicide..interesting on the Platinum.
Monte Carlo, NY NY, Mirage, Luxor are considered the bottom of the barrel for strip hotels. If your going in the summer 4-5* resorts are about $100 a night or less.. Just got the Wynn rate for all summer for $109 weekday with $50 resort credit and the pools are stunning! I can't say enough of this hotel because of the sheer luxury of the room, the great food and the casino. Bally's, Mandalay, Ceasars, Bellagio are great hotels that will have some great deals for around $75 or less. Off the strip, the Palms is awesome! |
I'll be there a weekend in June- probably why the rates are high. I don't know if there's a fight or convention. I'm looking at bidding on a 4-5* on Priceline for something on The Strip (north).
|
Monte Carlo and Mirage are the "bottom of the barrel" for the strip? Huh? They aren't the Wynn, but they are far from the bottom.
I've never stayed at the Mirage but I've gambled there, and it's pretty nice. I would consider those mid-level strip hotels, based on price and reviews. The Mirage is usually at a higher price point than Bally's and gets better reviews. Monte Carlo also gets decent reviews afaik and isn't priced at the bottom. I've never stayed there and can't compare it to Bally's but I always had the impression it was somewhat comparable, maybe not quite as good. Fodor's gives it a good review. Bottom of the barrel would be Circus Circus, the IP, the Sahara, the Riviera, maybe the Stratosphere and Tropicana. Those are generally the lowest prices on the strip and the reviews on TA and elsewhere will generally reflect why. |
Stratosphere, Circus Circus are scrapping the barrel and I should of said that the Mirage/Monte Carlo/NYNY..IMO, are the next tier up..very average, with horrific beds and linens..lots of screaming kids..very very basic and if you've stayed at the Wynn for a couple dollars more, you'll understand..
Wynn is going for $109 a night! There are soooo many great 4-5* hotels in Vegas for so cheap then why would you go and be a bottom dweller..understand if that is all thats left but I always shoot and aim high and then work down the ladder! I like Bally's and for the price of $59 is a great deal! What are you seeing for room rates at Monte/Mirage..saw it for $119 and $139..yikes! Summer rates should be rock bottom. |
Glad I found this thread! Tell me more about the off strip places please. The Palms, The Hard Rock, how would young 40s through mid 50s, all rockin cool :) fare? Anything wonderful and worthy in the Freemont area?
Open windows or balcony was / is a major request of two people, different couples, but might be able to work around it if everything else is wonderful. Or maybe not. :( |
