My personal favorite was the response from a poster on Flyertalk.com who thought it said Met Ron at Urinal.

People in Seattle -speaking from my limited but first hand experience- either haven't heard of this or are embarrassed at its stupidity.

Though I did get points for knowing about this Fodor's forum thread & that people from all over are getting a laugh about it!

Gardyloo: :-)) Thanks for the laugh.

The first word that came to my mind was metrosexual, so I thought it was some sort of fashion statement.

I thought it was a 'medical' term, sort of like getting yourself primed to talk to your pubesent daughter about the forthcoming trials of womanhood ...but 'naturally.

No dumber than Charlotte, NC's "SSShhh-lotte" one. Print ads have people with index finger at mouth giving a "shh" look. I think it's suppose to be Charlotte is understated but a lot is going on in the area. Every time I see the ad I go "Charlotte starts with a CH"

Durham, NC just went through this and came up with:

Durham: Where great things happen

Somebody spent a lot of money for that phrase.

A few years back, Orange County, NC (where Chapel Hill is located) came up with "You'll be a fan for life" I like that one.

I just looked up Charlotte's ad in a magazine, the correct spelling is

Shhhhhharlotte
To discover a city that's quietly making a name for itself, go to visitcharlotte.com

Still think it's pretty lousy. Glad my tax$$$ didn't go for it.

P_M, if you are not experiencing metronatural symptoms yet, my guess is - you would be Peri-Metronatural... so I guess this means you are just sorta there but not yet..
Less bathing and stop wearing make-up..( what in the world do they call Portland Oregon then?)

Gardyloo, some of us were just discussing our favorite around the house uniforms in the Lounge - old lady cotton briefs, sweats, no bra . . . maybe us city dwellers in that uniform would be considered metronaturals. Whatcha think? :))

I thought of the people that get together at a restaurant in NYC once a month, to eat in the buff.
