And speaking of getting off the subject . . .

. . . of travel, does anyone have a really good Key Lime Pie recipe made with real key limes?

Back on the subject of travel, I almost always try a piece of Key Lime Pie at restaurants for dessert at dinner when I'm traveling over the U.S., but I've never asked for a restaurant's recipe.

Go to Epicurious.com and do a search for Key Lime Pie. You'll probably get many delicious recipes. It's a great website, enjoy!

usually you can find a recipe on the inside of a lemon juice bottle, name brand of course. Sorry name escapes me.

sss: EEEEWWWWWW. Key Lime Pie made from bottled juice??? NO WAY.
cookie: About ten years ago, or more, I read a book by Nora Ephron wherein she interspersed recipes with her story - it was hilarious. I made most of those & they were all good - ESPECIALLY her key lime pie one. (Not actually made with KEY limes, tho.) But, I lost the book and cannot for the life of me remember the title - your posting brought it all back. So, if anyone knows the title of that book, I'd be forever grateful!

I make Key lime pie...frequently. It is so easy, I could NEVER order it in a restaaurant.

It MUST be made with key lime juice which is more tart than a regular lime.

I have used key limes, which are hard to obtain out of season....but now I use bottled key lime juice..and it's great. Except in the keys,
I would be surprised if any restaurant really used anything but the bottled juice. Just follow the simple receipe on the bottle.
