Stayed 2 nights at Hana Hale Inn in one of their cottages; the Pond View Bungalow was magical in both sun and rain.
The private outdoor tub and shower was Heaven in Hana. On the beach just down the hill past the historic pond.

Not too much in cheap accomodations in Hana--which is why most people do it as a long day trip unless they decide to splurge and stay a few days. The road has a lot of turnouts with waterfalls, etc. It was worth doing the drive once.
