DC?

All steak places are outrageously expensive.

That said, my favorite in DC is Morton's. It's not in Georgetown, but it's only about a 10 minute cab ride (except during rush hour). It's on Connecticut. There's also a new Smith & Wolensky's in the same general area (I preferred Morton's).

Haven't been there, but have heard good things about Nick & Stef's at the MCI Center. This is further afield from G'town, but it's still not a long trip.

Haven't been there in years but "The Prime Rib" used to be a great place. Good place to see local politicians noshing as well. Anyone know if it's still good?

It's in the Dupont Circle area, but Ruth's Chris Steak House, 1801 Connecticut Avenue is a nice place. More so than many other cities, "outragageous" is a relative term in DC. Looking at my dinner tab for two, I see it came to $114 -- including wine, of course. :o)

Haven't been there myself, but have been told by others that the Palm is more a place to see and be seen than to go for a really good dinner. They tell me the food has definitely gone down hill in recent years. But that's all heresay.

At Sam & Harry's, the bill for my husband and I (no app, 1 bottle of wine, dessert) was $160.
