Songdoc you discovered aussies and their love of pies I see. As we dont live in Sydney we have not heard of that store so we will check it out when we are in New York in October. Thats if I can get my husband to let go of a hot dog long enough to eat a pie.

The direct airporter bus between LGA and JFK costs $12.

There is a way to do this on public transportation, but it would be tedious, take about an hour and a half, and cost about $7.50 per person.
1. From LGA, take the Q33 bus (a local city bus making many stops) to the end of the line, the Victor Moore Terminal (74th St and Broadway in Queens).
2. Transfer to the nearby E train (Jackson Heights/Roosevelt stop) heading in the direction of Jamaica Center. Ride 6 stops to Sutphin Blvd/Archer Ave (Jamaica Station, which is NOT the same as Jamaica Center).
3. At Sutphin Blivd, ride the series of elevators and escalators to the upper level (follow the signs) of the station and walk to the AirTrain stop.
4. Ride the AirTrain to your JFK terminal.

The airporter bus sounds like the better/easier option to me.
