If I can be a representative of the proleteria, please don't consider me rude, but most of the human beings in our world sleep in rooms with more than 4 people, you know.

Saying that, and saying what you prefer and would not do, please do realize this. And you are all travelers and have to know this at some level. And that being culturally aware does mean not putting your standards as a iron clad rule for others on choices like this.

Many groups, like ski clubs, sport travel teams, work conference partners, etc. etc. etc. are housed in units with more than 2 to a room. Hostels and all kinds of dorm situations have mixed gender bathroom and down the hall bathroom as well. One time there was a Canadian ski club trip from our ski club that had 11 people in a 3 bedroom condo with 2 bathrooms. This mode: 2 people sleep on cots in the loft- and 3 people sleep on pull out beds that were part of the large great room wall units (murray bed pull downs)- the rest were doubled up in the bedrooms. There are all kinds of arrangements available in the lodging industry.

People who travel across the country from Mexico and elsewhere for work or family reasons besides just pleasure trips, sometimes use the bathrooms and showers at the National Parks and roadside park/stops and DON'T have a bathroom at all. And they travel extensively.

It's all travel.

Saying that, I must add that for the LV market, I know personally of female seniors (75 plus in most cases) who do the 4 adults to a room all the time. Many, many people who have limited funds chose to do this and still are honest with the establishment concering the number of occupants.

One time when my kids were younger, with college loans, and dirt poor as they were just starting out- we went overnight to Milwaukee like this. We did it honestly, with 2 rooms. We had two couples and a kid in one room and 4 people in the other room. We did survive and we also had a great time.

Me thinks this thread is turning to poopy doops.

I just wanted to pipe in that I spent 5 nights at the San Remo back in 2000, and we paid $50/night. I don't think I'd stay there again, as it was a little too "budget" even for me, but it might be just the ticket for the OP. It was clean and everything, and they even had a little pool out back and a tiny casino in the lobby. It's next door to the Tropicana and across the street from the MGM Grand.
