But I am not traveling for a week. I am only parking for 5 days. And no I will not be doing the "priority" but thanks for the the advice and especially for saying it so kindly.

Each to their own! We tried trains, hated schlepping our luggage on and on. But love trains in Japan where you ship your luggage ahead., perfect.
I do pack light because I find it so much easier as I travel. I know where everything is and how many clothes are still clean before I need to do laundry.
Everyone has their own travel systems.

But some are more admirable/cool/impressive/enviable/worthy than others. How and where one chooses to travel is serious effing business.

It's true that I like what I like and will probably never change those things (e.g. no one is ever going to get me to go camping) but sometimes I read something here that's a brand new idea for me and it becomes a new favourite or regular thing. One I can think of right now is writing a daily trip report on a postcard of something you've seen or done that day. Someone on Fodor's suggested that and it's something we've been doing for years now.
