Looking for rolling duffle
 

I need a sturdy rolling duffle for my next trip to Africa. Anything between 28-30” would be good. Anyone has suggestions on a duffle that will hold up?

Check out L L Bean. We have some of their duffels - however, not the rolling duffels. The ones we have are the same design and fabric etc as the rolling ones. They are very sturdy. They come in various sizes and many different colors and patterns.

Luggage is one things I insist on buying in person (not ordering online). I have to look at how the bag is laid out, the pockets, handle configurations, etc. Even though you need "sturdy" I would also try to seek out one that is a lightweight as possible. Also 30" is a pretty darn HUGE bag. Couldn't you maybe get by with more like 25-26" or take two smaller bags. A 30" fully packed may well bust the 50 lb. airline limit for the flight over.

I love my 30" Eagle Creek rolling duffle. I have had it for 6 years now and it has been the equivalent of round and round the world many times and still looks pretty new. When it was new it got a slash in it somehow and it was repaired by Eagle Creek no questions asked. I believe they still have a full guarantee. I rarely get over 50 pounds and quite often between 40 and 44 but the space is there if I need it. It is quite light as it does not have a lot of pockets and extras inside.
