HOW TO PLAN A SOLO VACATION?

Hi I am Emma,

Looking for a solo vacation plan, is this safe to be Solo Travel? What things do I need to keep in my mind? What things can I carry?

Regards,
Emma

Yes, it is safe provided you take reasonable precations and don't visit war zones. How much you can carry depends on you and your luggage - I take a 22 inch two-wheeler that weighs in at airports at 10-11 kilos, plus a small day pack.

Where do you want to go?

Sure it is "safe" to travel by yourself in most situations.

What to keep in mind... have enough money, keep your travel documents safe, stay in central locations so you can get around easily.

As far as what to pack, it depends where you are going, what you will need beyond the basics (you always need a passport, money, debit/credit card, any personal prescriptions, etc.).

All these questions would have a different answer if you are going solo to Paris or Amsterdam for a week, than if you are spending time at the beach in Jamaica or Mexico (for example).

I’m addicted to solo travel! You’ve already gotten some great advice ... but let me ask: Are you looking to plan a trip, or are you gathering information for a summary to be posted on your website?

thanks, Suze.

Interesting. How come Suze gets thanked and I don't get thanked and kja doesn't get answered? Think I'll be ignoring your posts in the future.

You're most welcome. Have a great trip! When you decide where you are going, post again, and we can help with more specific tips and suggestions.

I personally think kja is on the right track - the OP is probably looking for content for her website.
