Thanks for the trip report, I would have loved to see the elk stampede. We did a similar trip a few years ago (from Australia) and loved our four nights in Moab. Spent most of the time out exploring and walking and taking photos of beautiful scenery. Thinking about another visit to national parks in your part of the world...maybe...the long flights put us off a bit but there is no avoiding them if we want to go :(
