Haven't stayed at VN, but can tell you the value at Costa Verde is very good with the studio plus--great views.

im leaning more towards villas nicolas right now. can anyone talk me out of it?

Do a Fodor search in Villas Nicolas. It has come highly recommended as well, and some have mentioned particular rooms. I think I remember someone saying 7-UP was good as far as a view.

ALSO, Villas Nicolas has a good location being right next door to Si Como No and its restaurant. We always enjoyed having lunch there. And there is a great gift shop with internet access. Nice artwork. Not talking you out of it, am I? :)

OOPS! Should say "Si Como No and its restaurantS" (plural). One more formal than the other.

i went ahead and booked the villas nicolas. it seemed to be a little more inline with what I was looking for, but costa verde seemed very nice also. thanks for the help.

We're having a similar debate--between Costa Verde, where we've stayed before and the lower apartment in Mot Mot (Tulemar Bungalows). Still looking for someone to tell me we'll like this apartment! I know the upstairs is nicer, but we like the downstairs price and the hotel assures me we still have a ocean view. Anyone?
