Most luxurious resort in Mexico?

Please give me your vote on what you think the most luxurious Mexican resort is. Looking for an incredible place to just relax at. Want great food, great pools, great service, a spa, and a great view of the beach. Don't care what part of Mexico (carribean or pacific). Just a one word response will do. (I'm hoping the majority will say the same place!)
Thanks in advance!

Have not been to either, because money is an object, Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos area and Royal Hideaway in Playa Del Carmen.

Cancun Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach, Playa del Carmen Royal Hideaway,
P. Vallarta So Many!!!! Four Seasons which is in Punta Mita also Try Villas de Oro on the internet it has sooooo many luxurious condos. The hotels in P. Vallarta that I have stayed are all very nice but I would not consider them luxurious. Also try trip advisor.com on the internet. Good Luck

Have a look at www.starwood.com/luxury/
Some of the refurbished Haciendas look wonderful. It looks like you might get more of a Mexican luxury than at the Ritz Carleton!
Enjoy the site!

Villas Rolandi on Isla Mujeres.
Only about 20 suites, all oceanfront and all with a private Jacuzzi on patio overlooking infinity pool and sea. 5 Stars.

In the Mayan Riviera, I've been to the Royal Hideaway and I thought it was very nice, but if you want luxury, check out: Ikal del Mar, its in a different league Other luxury properties are Maroma, and Paraiso de la Bonita, but there's just something about Ikal...

El Tamarindo, is my idea of luxury

Definately NOT Villa Rolandi on Isla Mujeres.Although it is a beautiful place,it's not luxury, and the service is awful.Food is mediocre at best.

Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas. Exceptional service, food and rooms. The rooms look at the beach with telescopes for whale watching, two endless pool viewing the beach as well. Absurdly expensive($700/night) but worth every penny.

Definitely El Tamarindo - 3 1/2 hours south of PV - Coste Alegre! www.mexicoboutiquehotels.com

Awesome. Has every service you mentioned. Has only 29 private villas each with its own splash pool outside.

Las Ventanas, Cabo or Four Seasons, Punta Mita. Las VEntanas is a bit more luxurious but Punta Mita has more activities, plus golf on property. Have stayed at both in the last year, will be back to Las Ventanas in December. Punta Mita's fitness a bit larger, but I like the spa at Las Ventanas. Both very friendly and very accommodating. Would be happy to answer questions.

Hi DJCusi -- question for you about FS Punta Mita as we are scheduled to go there for a week this winter. Did you do any excursions off the resort? I have not been to Puerta Vallarta and would like to at least visit the city one day and wondering how expensive and/or difficult a process it is to get there, I have heard the resort charges absolutely exorbitant rates to PV. Also, did you get tired of the food? Did you feel there were enough options for dining. We are wondering if we will get bored eating at the resort every day for a week. What did you like best about the resort?
