That was taken at the watering hole at Bosque del Cabo the morning after a full moon where the frogs had all gathered to mate.

I don't even remember seeing that photo amongst the finalists - I love it. Is there somewhere we can view all of the finalists? Maybe they'll publish your pic in the next guide!

The pictures seem even more impactful now knowing what the country and people are going through.

It never was on their previews (that wasn't the finalist they were showing, just a slideshow of the contestants). Maybe they were saving the best? :0) But it is supposed to be "prominently featured on the site" and published in the next guide.

swim, there are days when I would gladly give them to you! ;) That photo was taken in late June, traveljunkie. But I think the key part was the full moon. Ask Carlos at Bosque to know for sure, but that's why the frogs were all out. We went back later and the next morning and they were all gone...
