Lynn, I made my judgments on the waterfalls themselves not including surroundings. The sheer force of the water over Niagara Falls is incredible. Iguazu Falls of course has the most beautiful surroundings--even topping Victoria Falls in my opinion.

Most people argue that there are three world class waterfalls: Niagra, Victoria, and Iguazu. Perhaps it's a shallow goal, but after March dh and I will have been to all three. From what I have seen in pictures and heard from people who have been there, I suspect I will like Iguazu the best of all three (although Victoria was pertty amazing!). Some people also include Angel Falls in that and I'd dearly love to see that one also, but maybe that's just because I love all waterfalls - big and small.
