DIY walking tours
I am looking for a book/ other source of detailed walking tours, without a tour guide. I'd like maps and detailed instructions on where to walk, with descriptions of stops on the way. Suggestions?

Visit http://www.sectur.gov.ar
They have excellent walking tours but you have to make reservation on some of the tours because as good as they are many people use them. Good luck if you need more help just drop me a line. |
Thanks for trying to help. This is not really what I am looking for. I want written instructions, but NO TOUR GUIDE. Any other suggestions?

They have all the complete information you need, with or without the tour guide. Maps, instructions, suggestions everything free.

While I appreciate your effort to help, I am still unable to find any walking tours on the site you referenced. If you can give me specifics on where to look, that would be great.

Weaselboy,
Vivir has provided a great link. They give 10 self guided routes. You just have to keep looking (I have had to split the complete link in 2 as it does not fit on page.. http://www.bue.gov.ar /recorridos/index.php?menu_id=16&info=autoguiados#item0_Se lf-guided And even the online Fodor's guide has a few walking tours. http://www.fodors.com/miniguides/mgr...uenos_aires@38 Anyway - Buenos Aires is a great city to walk around in. Have a great trip raquel |
