Babysitter/nanny services in Cabo?
 

Hello all. Going to Cabo San Lucas in February for 4 or 5 days with my husband and our active 2 year old son. I am looking for a reputable service to provide a babysitter or nanny to care for our son for a couple afternoons and maybe an evening (in addition to some time as a mother's helper so my husband and I can see her/him interacting our son). I plan to ask our hotel when I make our reservations (Riu Palace) but would love to hear about your experience, referrals and/or tips about the process. I am nervous about trusting someone I don't know, but I am open to the possibility for the first time. Thanks in advance!

Sorry I can't help with any referrals, but several years ago, we were in Cabo at Sunset Beach. Beforehand, someone posted on Tripadvisor that they needed a babysitter for their twins. We were going to be there at the same time, so our teen daughter and her friend babysat for them several times. It worked out great. I understand your apprehension and hope your hotel can be of help. You may want to also post this inquiry on trip advisor.

Ditto the Trip Advisor forum suggestion. There are only a few Cabo folks here on Fodor's. TA has a VERY active and helpful group of regulars.

Hi there, I am a 25 year old canadian/F living in Todos Santos. That is about one hour from cabo. I have lots of experience taking care of children ranging from all ages. I dont work through a nanny agency. Most of the time i am not working down here but as i am now living here 4 or 5 months out of the year, working a little might be nice :) I know busniess owners here for referals as well as many locals and other nannys and babysitters that live in my area up here. I would be available to care for your son 3 or 4 days out of the weeks for you if you wish. We could always just try a day if you liked as well.
