Hi LindyE

We are taking the 2d trip in July, can't wait...great to read your review. What time do you get back to San Jose the next day? I figure we'll have to spend the night in San Jose before heading out for other parts. Thanks.

We have done the overnight with Rios Tropicales and Costa Rica Expeditions. Would love to learn more about Aventuras. So far everything I have heard has been very positive. Do post your experience.

The Pacuare does have some slow areas where you get out and play in waterfalls or just swim around. It is an absolutely beautiful river. I have rafted it about 5-6 times now both day trips and overnights and would go back in a heartbeat. We also rafted the Reventazon but that was more intense and technical due to the longer white water areas.

Does the Pacuare run at the same classes year round? We did the Rio Savegre in Feb which at the time was a class II/III. The guides said that in the rainy season sometimes it runs as a class V.
