Thanks for the websites and the suggestions. I got sidetracked at work (I guess I have to pay for these trips somehow!) and I haven't even had the chance to send any emails yet. Hopefully by the end of this week I will have a firm itinerary.

One more note:
We would like to hike in Killarney National Park but aren't thrilled about staying in Killarney. How far is Kenmare? Or is there a better location?

Kenmare is a lovely town and makes a great place to spend a night or two. It's 84 km between Kenmare and Killarney (about a two-hour drive).
