Bringing Mom (who has survived brush with Cancer) to the Vatican, along with my Niece. After having read "A Thousand Days in Venice", I want a picture of the three generations coming over a venetion bridge in complementary outfits. :-]

Thats great DAJ, your Mom is going to love Rome..Do you have a general audience with the Pope?

You gave me an excellent idea about taking a picture on the bridge in Venice.
I am going to Venice with my daughter and Brooke, my 12 years grandaughter..3 generations also..

alm0stbeautiful Nov 1st, 2004 12:35 PM

sbp17~you're so lucky you live there. What city?

clevelandbrown Nov 1st, 2004 12:56 PM

We've penciled in a week in Rome, a week in Florence, then a week in Switzerland, probably in mid-May.

youngrandma Nov 1st, 2004 01:18 PM

I have been planning a trip to Italy to take my two college age nieces who have never been out of the US. About a month ago, my aunt and her daughter decided to join us. So, DAJ, we will be three generations too - 5 women from age 19 to 72. Cannot wait.
We have the beginning of a plan, thanks to all your good advice, and are now looking for reasonable airfare from Boston.
Our plan, taking the train in between cities:
Rome, June 6-10, Hotel Santa Maria.
Florence, June 10-15, Residenza Il Villino.
Venice, June 15-19, La Calcina.
Any further advice is always appreciated. Thank you.
