Can't wait. I am a blonde, single female traveling alone so plan on buying a good hat so as not to stand out too much. Not worried, looking very forward to it. Thanks for all the great information.

ChristyK - expect to have a wonderful time! I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, but had never been or even considered a trip to Turkey until my "blond" daughters returned and said "Dad, you've got to go to Turkey - you'll love it!" So I did go in the fall of 2003 and indeed loved it. I am now saving up for a return visit in 2005.

This is for HARZER. Why are health precautions more necessary in Turkey then in Europe? When we were there in 2001 the only precaution I took and I take that everywhere is drinking bottled water. The food is delicious and cheap!!
