Both are lovely. Of the two Elm Park Gardens would be closer in and probably better for the kids being walking distance to the Natural History Museum/etc.

(I was reluctant to post because by the time you ask six more times both will be booked . . .)

cathies Mar 24th, 2013 10:12 PM

Yes Janisj, I can picture them leaving Sydney or wherever they live with two small children and only half the trip booked.

dugi_otok Mar 24th, 2013 10:30 PM

Now janisj and cathies. Be positive!

janisj Mar 24th, 2013 11:13 PM

We were . . . two months ago ;)

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 25th, 2013 12:19 AM

thanks cathie ...yes dugi ..many thanks for your thoughts but we only want to do London, france and Italy with my mother and in saying that it really is only going to be Venice with a day trip to the lakes if we really get the chance to. I think there is more then enough to show someone in Venice for 5 days and I think my kids are going to love it. I have this image of them running hand in through the pigeons in st marks square :)

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 25th, 2013 12:24 AM

hahahaha . . both properties are on 48hr reserve! So elm park is the better of the two . .got it!

It will be venice and I am sure I will handle them not falling into the canal!

7days london, 10days avignon, 7days Venice and then Paris I think will be just perfect for us and somewhat relaxing.

You guys are positive! My trip is going to be amazing and you know it'll be live so you will be able to tell me what to do as we go! hahaha

cathies Mar 25th, 2013 01:16 AM

Claire, the pigeons have been cleaned out of at marks square, they were filthy lice ridden things. We were there in 2008 and they were practically all gone by then

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 25th, 2013 01:33 AM

Oh no seriously! I had this hope I was going to get the photo in black and white that I have of me running with them flying away!

well I still think it'll be a beautiful place to spend some time. Hubby wasn't keen but my mum would love to see it.

I remember the last time in london how excited I got about the squirrels in the parks and being told that they were pest etc

Tulips Mar 25th, 2013 04:17 AM

What happened to Elm Park Gardens?

You are now posting 10 more places, for everyone at Fodors to comment on? And then after receiving advice every location, you will look up another 10?

jamikins Mar 25th, 2013 04:25 AM

I really think you need to do your own homework here - it is a bit unfair to expect people to comment on TEN apartments. Are you ok with all of them? Eliminate the ones you arent interested in and post 2-3 links.

Seriously, this is getting so painful. I have never seen anyone have such a problem booking an apartment ANYWHERE before. JUST PICK ONE!

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 25th, 2013 04:29 AM

hahahaha . . .I just thought if I showed what was available someone might go . . oh I have stayed there and it's perfect! Elm Street is there but this is a list from all the agency I have gone to I also post my links here so I can easily access them etc It will be one of these 10 for London that is for sure.

and my paris apartment is this

http://www.short-rent-paris-flat.com...n-75007-paris/

So I have gotten somewhere today!

Italy and avignon/provence tomorrow

thursdaysd Mar 25th, 2013 04:53 AM

Book Elm Park or throw a dart at the list. This is ridiculouss. You have analysis paralysis.

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 25th, 2013 05:14 AM

I have printed them all off and am going to look at the all and place them all onto google list and see which I like the most but I am agreeing that Elm Park is the way to go . .the company has great reviews, it is on our price range and area so hat is done . .let's move on! WHat do you think of the paris one?

Finecheapboxofwine Mar 25th, 2013 06:27 AM

The Paris one looks nice. Go for it!

socaltraveler Mar 25th, 2013 06:49 AM

My head hurts with all the links. Seriously, enough with the 'hahahas', you are burning out all these kind-hearted people who have been decent enough through 3 months and 25 separate threads, actually looking at your links, giving advice and then finding you cannot make a decision, lose the apartment, change your plans, again and again.

It is really your job to sort it out and offer, if you must again, a few links for feedback. 10-12 is asking a huge favor, truly unusual on any travel board. Analysis paralysis is a great description. Push the button, you can do it.

Gretchen Mar 25th, 2013 06:57 AM

Seven days in Venice is just plain silly.

thursdaysd Mar 25th, 2013 07:04 AM

"Seven days in Venice is just plain silly."

Really? How about the six wonderful days I spent there in November 2007? I could certainly have stayed longer, and I met people there who were staying quite a bit longer. Keep your insults to yourself, please.

janisj Mar 25th, 2013 08:28 AM

dugi_otok: Just how positive are you now? Crazy posts her final final FINAL two choices, gets reactions . . . and comes back w/ TEN more.

MonicaRichards Mar 25th, 2013 08:39 AM

I actually did go to Venice with two small kids (ages 1.5 and 4) and it was a nightmare. First, falling in the canals is a real concern, there are no walls or anything and if you have a clueless easily distracted child they could easily do it, and even if you trust your kids it's still nerve wracking. Then there's the strollers over the bridges thing, man that gets old fast.
