I am also a lucky one... Pete does most of the day to day cooking and also all the laundry... though that came after I flooded the kitchen 3 times and made half his underwear and white Tshirts pink.

Mostly he will be doing oven cook stuff or fresh ready to cook stuff from the supermarkets though occasionally he does good home made sheperds pie, hamburgers and spag bol.

I tend to cook less often but do the dishes from scratch such as simple pastas dishes and so on... (and am now finally starting to recreate some of my mum's Indian recipes from her new website).

Everynow and then I get the urge to cook more extravagant stuff from the recipe books... or I invent a recipe...

PS Some British dishes are great... though I love French, Mediterannean, Greek, Middle Eastern and Asian foods more...

My husband loves to cook.
Infact our first "date" was a special Cajun meal, from Bon Appetit magazine.
It was to be an intimate dinner for 6 , but turned out to be a huge party of at least 15!
The only thing that gets to me, is that after 17 yrs, husband still has to ask where things are, and we have a small kitchen!

Sharon: I love "the glass of good wine watching people cook" thing too! I guess that is part of the reason so many parties end up squeezed into the kitchen! Nancy: It is genetic IMO!
Judy ;-)
