Which region in Rome?

We're trying to decide between two regions to stay in: Navona or the Colosseum area. Which would be better for sightseeing, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.?
Thanks!

Consider Lazio.

Colloseum area has wider streets, much more vehicle traffic, more professional busineses. Probably more walking in between sites, resturants, cafes , etc.
Navona narrower streets, less vehicle traffic, many "alleyways to explore" more of a mix of centuries beyond roman styles. Definetly less walking between sites, restuarants, cafes, etc.
However both have their unique charm.

Does a 25 minutes walk seperate 2 'regions`?
There is sightseeing and restaurants and bars and shopping to do in both areas.
You could change hotel in the middle of your journey... or find a hotel in the Pantheon / Largo Argentina / Piazza Venezia Triangle...
