A Question for Jody: You indicated that you liked the Selfridge because it was so close to Oxford St shopping, but what did you think of the quality of the rooms? I'm debating between a an "executive luxurious single" (ie refurbished small room) at the Selfridge (probably a 4*, avg price of 85 pounds a night, including taxes and breakfast) and splurging on a king size room (same price as the twin, so why not) at the 5* Meridien Grosvenor House (129 pounds, not including tax or breakfast, but with a gym). That's a big price difference (although it's only 2 nights) - is it worth it? I know the area well because I used to live in the neighbourhood.
