Where will Britain go?

Where will we post for the U.K. entities once the formal departure from the E.U. takes place? Still Europe?

dotheboyshall Aug 23rd, 2016 01:16 PM

The EU isn't Europe.

kleeblatt Aug 23rd, 2016 01:16 PM

Unless they move the whole country down to Australia, I think it's safe to say they're physically still part of Europe just as Norway and Switzerland is.

Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of plate tectonics will appreciate that the UK have been gradually floating away from the Americas for quite some time. It is firmly part of the European continental shelf and as such geographically we are for now part of Europe.

BritishCaicos:

If Ireland - in the EU- is part of the European Union then I think the UK - west of Ireland is in Europe - physically if not mentally.

BritishCaicos Aug 23rd, 2016 01:22 PM

It's the gradually floating away from Donald Trump which gives me comfort.

PalenQ Aug 23rd, 2016 01:27 PM

I think Trump can claim U K citizenship since his mum or dad was born in Scotland?

elberko Aug 23rd, 2016 01:36 PM

BritishCaicos made me LOL...both times. ;)

<<then I think the UK - west of Ireland is in Europe>>

Uh, thinking you're looking at the map upside-down.

PalenQ Aug 23rd, 2016 02:23 PM

well yes east of Ireland is the UK - Ireland to the west - minor mistake.
