I have a couple compasses which were really cheap and I think I just picked up at a dime store or something. They are not heavy duty REI type things, just cheap plastic -- I keep one in my car in case I sort of get lost. I think I may have bought them at a travel bookstore, actually -- one of those Rand McNally places. Those places are good for a lot of this kind of stuff, as well as the gadget dept. of any AAA travel store (which is where I got my 220V immersion coil for boiling water).
I think I took my compass on a trip once but never used it, actually (I carried it in my purse). First, I have a good sense of direction, but more important, it is easier to orient yourself by tall landmarks than just compass points, in my experience, and they have more meaning anyway.
I agree with everyone else that these other things you just put in small plastic travel bottles yourself from your big bottles. You can buy 1 oz plastic bottles at drug stores and supermarkets. I would never pack liquid fabric softener when you can take those sheets. If you can't find travel bottles of Febreeze, I suggest you look in the cosmetic dept of Target, etc, as that's where they sell those little refillable bottles.
