Where are you going???
 

I thought I would throw this general question out there. What countries/cities are you planning on visiting in the coming new year?

I'll be starting the New Year in Vancouver...<BR>I thought it was about time for me to get to Canada!<BR>After that, no major trips until the summer, when I'm tentatively planning on a two week visit to Austria (staying in a home in a mountain village) and dreaming about the possibility of revisiting Russia (if I can make my vacation time stretch far enough.)

We are giving our 8 year old son a trip to Europe for Christmas and we are letting him plan the trip. It's going to be an amusement park trip. We're thinking he'll want to go to Tivoli and Lego Land in Copenhagen and Possibly Disney in Paris (I will try to talk him out of this!!) But it's his present so we'll see how we do! Possibly Stockholm, they have an amusement park, but I don't know the name of it.

Starting our New Year in PRAGUE!<BR><BR>I can't wait. We leave next Thursday.<BR><BR>Then we're in Venice and Rome the first 1.5 weeks of January. The rest of the year? Who knows!

I'm headed to Italy in 27 days, but who's counting?<BR><BR>BC

This Friday - The Bahamas for 4 days<BR><BR>Late April or March - the Dordogne for 2 weeks<BR><BR>First week of July - Ireland for 2 weeks followed by France for 2 weeks<BR><BR>Maybe Costa Rica late next fall..

Crete at Easter;<BR><BR>Brussels twice a month on (sort of) buiness<BR><BR>south of France in January, house hunting again.Anything else depends on whether or not we get the house<BR><BR>

Although technically it's not in the new year.<BR><BR>Italy in February<BR><BR>Egypt in May<BR><BR>Washington DC in June (actually a business trip but I plan on taking an extra couple of days)<BR><BR>In October, maybe Prague?<BR><BR>Also, next year we'll probably have visits from my parents, husband's parents, and my sister-in-law and her husband, so we'll likely take a couple of weekend trips around China (where we live) or Asia.

London in 3 days<BR>Paris in july(if we will not expecting a baby!!!)

We will be in London and Paris in January and hope to see Seville and Lisbon in May!

Already have Mexico booked for spring time, then still planning other trips. Thinking of Australia in fall, or perhaps back to Italy again.

Hoping for about a week in late March or early April - split between Amsterdam and Paris.

That's all so far. London sometime as one of my friends just relocated there. (4 days)

We are going to Amsterdam for 3 days then onto Spain for 2 weeks. We may try to get into Portugal for a few days and we want to take a day trip to Tangiers from the south of Spain.<BR>I hope everyone is able to realize their traveling dream in 2003.

Hmmm SA, <BR>Amelia Island as a featured destination is interesting. Where are you staying?<BR>I live here.

Bob - We go there every year for New Years. W/the new baby we are renting a cottage on the beach this year but have stayed in nearly every B &amp; B on the island over time. Fernandina Beach is more accurate but no one knows where that is. We hang out in the Florida House quite a bit when we're there. It's too bad Jim the bartender left.

I'm going to Spain for New Year's Eve with a friend! We'll be in the southeastern and central coasts! Looking forward to tapas, wine, flamenco, paella, and much more!<BR><BR>After that, NYC, Kauai, and hopefully, Italy for New Year's Eve, '03!

Mallorca and Barcelona in September for our honeymoon!!!<BR><BR>Also taking short trips to Maryland's Eastern Shore, Boston and Northeast Pennsylvania, all for friends' weddings. I guess it's &quot;the year of the wedding&quot; for us!

My New Years trip will be Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Munich, Salzburg and Milan. Cant wait!

Going to Montreal for the New Year, and then renting a villa in Tuscany for the first two weeks in July.

Connie - if your son likes amusement parks, how about the Prater in Vienna? Absolutely wonderful, as is the Vienna Zoo.

Venice/Florence/Assisi/Rome in early March (5th trip to all).<BR>

Leaving Christmas day for a week of skiing in Austria. Is it true what they say about the coed saunas?

Spending June 9-15 in Greece visiting Athens, Nafplion, Mycenae, Corinth, Epidaurus, Olympia, and Delphi.<BR>June 16-24 in Italy visiting Rome, Orvieto, Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, San Sepolcro, Perugia, Asisi, Todi, and Siena. <BR><BR>Yes it's a tour, which often has bad connotations, but its being led by my uncle who's an art history professor and knows every in and out in Italy, plus I'm getting 3 hours graduate credit.

Sorry, but this year will be a NO GO, as I am retired and my funding has evaporated!
